…for anyone who wants to create a freedom business
Back in 2010 when I ran the Morten Hake Summit with Knut Johannessen, we reached out to all personal development blogs, online magazines and companies, coaches, therapists etc to build relationship with all and anyone who wanted to listen to our vision of contributing to a better communication between the sexes and help men grow as authentic, attractive men.
One company stood out from the rest, and that company was Elevate AS. Petter Erik and Maria who ran it took us in with open arms, and we immediately connected and resonated with more than one interest. From that day, we have had a joint venture kind of relationship that has turned into a friendship and more than once have we helped each other with promotion, public speaking, expertise, and guidance.
Long story short, both Elevate AS and The Morten Hake Summit don’t exist anymore (however, I am considering another MHS, but that’s another story for another day)……………..hallo
I traveled a lot and lived in other countries and Petter Erik and Maria shut down Elevate due to it being to broad of a focus and too much work. Note that they ran conferences, workshops, speeches and seminars for a whole range of domestic and international acknowledged speakers and at the same time catered to their own tribe with parties and other services. Elevate was also the Norwegian agency for Tony Robbins events and tickets, so need less to say, they were busy!
Personally, some of the same reasons where why Knut and me decided to let go of Passion Immersion and the Morten Hake Summit. Since we had not focused enough on our exit strategy and scaling from the beginning, we were now working long hours with lots of management, logistics and paperwork etc. In one way, it was the dream business, but being as inexperienced with running a business as we were, we also created a logistical moster for our selves. Also, we did not charge enough at all, so our finances were volitile.
Fast forward a couple of years, a couple of countries and a couple of insights, I’m in Thailand with Tess, renting an apartment on the Nimman strip in Chaing Mai, exploring different ways of living. Dabbling a bit in Instagram and Youtube marketing and businesses while doing market research for our upcoming Home Free Academy. I got contacted by Petter Erik. He saw that I was in south-east Asia, and he invited me to their new home in Vietnam. I liked the idea, while Tess was eager to get to Bali (our next destination), so we split up.
I knew Petter Erik and Maria were having even better success with an online business than they had with the offline one, but when I came to their house in Vietnam, I realized they had hit a nerve. They had set up a freedom business, but not only making it go around and being able to work from anywhere in the world, but they absolutely crushed it! Making 6 figures the first year, and looking at 7 figures for the third year! I was impressed at not only the numbers but the “laid back-ness” they had in their daily lives, especially compared to how I knew them from before, always being busy with making the ends meet in their old business.
This new biz was completely different! Now we’re talking!
I attended one of their masterminds in Vietnam together with the founder of Goalmapping, Brian Mayne and we hand a great time concretizing objectives and getting some killer insight in how PE & M have shaped their money-making, value-giving freedom business. For the first time in many years, I felt a real alignment was happening. I’ve had a few of those ‘yes, this is right, my life is taking a turn here’-type of moments, but this one was different in the way that it just felt very natural and almost, in lack of a better word – given.
As if my conscious dreams and my subconscious longing had a meeting and they both agreed that, yes. This is exactly where you’re supposed to be. This is where you cross the road. Take the decision. Soon thereafter, I was invited to work with Petter Erik and Maria in AweSM Ltd. to help them scale the sales and just to top it off as the perfect cherry on the top, Tess has become the admin customer support and she’s doing this years AweSM event!
The event is 17th – 19th of January (next weekend) and is for anyone who wants to create a freedom business. Basically how you make good money online by providing great value to others. So unless you’re killing it, living your dream life with lots of free time, financial resources to do whatever you like whenever you like, this event is an absolute given.
